Add A Fruit Or Vegetable to Every Meal
Does the new food pyramid intimidate you? Do you think that you must sit down to a brimming bowlful of steamed broccoli and cauliflower several times a day to get your recommended daily dose of fruits and vegetables? Stop worrying and start deluding yourself. Yes, trick yourself into eating more fruits and vegetables!
Here's how: Have a smoothie in the morning, and toss in some extra fresh fruit before you blend. Make your cheese omelet with fresh tomatoes, onions and avocado. Put some sprouts on your sandwich and have a pickle on the side. Keep a bag of baby carrots in your office refrigerator for the mid-afternoon blahs. Toss a few frozen strawberries on top of your after-dinner frozen yogurt. A little bit here and there, and before you know it you'll be eating your five cups a day of fruits and veggies without even thinking about it.
Looking and feeling better starts with the choices we make every day. These choices may be small ones, but they add up...
